Alvin and the Chipmunks are being successful this Christmas. This movie which brings back those characters which first appeared as part of a music group and then given life in several animated artoons and movies, has arrived to the theaters.

The story begins when a struggling songwriter gets his world turned upside-down by getting fired by Jett Records. After that, he meets a trio of talking and singing chipmunks formed by Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, who soon become instant stars.

When Ian Hawke (David Cross), CEO of Jett Records and Dave's former college classmate, sees the boys as nothing more than a gimmick to make a quick buck and coerces them with promises of superstardom and perks, their relationship with Dave becomes strained and tested.
